"Have you ever felt like someone's been watching you, but you were never looking the right way?"

Inspired partially by this: [link]

It mainly has nothing to do with that story, just the generalization of "Rose is the Doctor's guardian angel" stories.

But this thought first came up when I read that story. There was this other story too where Rose was dead and came to him in a dream or something or some other. And they reunited when he died. I LOVED that story, it was so incredibly bittersweet, but I forgot the stupid title. ><

For some reason when I look at Rose's closed eyes, I think about Orpheus and his trip down to the Underworld to retrieve his wife, which makes me think that in this picture, Rose's deal with... whoever deals with that stuff... was that she could watch over him, only if she promised to never actually look at him until he died.

Yes, I'm pretty depressing.

I just muse about this relationship sometimes, and I think that it's such a tragic love story, the fact that they'll have to go through the rest of their lives not knowing what happened to the other.

*sigh*

And I can't draw wings either. Leave me alone.

I don't know what I like better, her hair or her wings! You did a good job on this! ^______^

I think the wings are quite beautiful, they're a lot better than I could do. I am in absolute love with your connection between Rose/Doctor and Odysseus in the picture. I think you put it best with bittersweet. I really like how the Doctor doesn't have facial features, it puts the emphasis on the fact he can't see her and is looking the other way *knows that's probably why you did it but felt like saying it anyways*.

The Doctor: Well if I gambled on that, it'd be an abuse of my privilege as a traveler in time.
Rose: Ten quid?
The Doctor: Done.

Well done! I think the wings are beautiful. ^^

Oh my go I love this! It's so tragic but beautiful! And the description only added to it wow!

Note: Just FYI, it was Orpheus who traveled to the realm of the dead and played music so beautiful that it touched Hades who gave him the chance to take his wife back to the world of the living, only if he didn't look at her until they got there. (Though Odysseus did go to the realm of the dead too, but not for his wife) I just took a test on these in my Greek myth class.

Thanks. I haven't read the Greek Myths in a while. I know that the person who went to the underworld was the son of one of the nine muses, who played music so beautiful that rocks would move to listen and weep.

And yet I can't remember the name. XD I feel ashamed now.

I'd keep listening to what you have to say, but I also have the best interests of not becoming homicidal at mind, so I won't.
